October 6: The new
"barn" (center) is all but finished, with a few minor details
outstanding. At 20-feet by 32-feet with loft, there is roughly twice the
floor space as the old shed (left). If I'd known how much equipment
would be required to maintain 35 acres, I'd have had a proper 60x80 barn
built originally. The new barn is heavily insulated and dry-walled and
will be heated to 40 degrees in winter to protect equipment and fluids.
To the right is the fuel shed, hiding two 500-gallon tanks.
